Fellow Shweta
Omkar Khair

What are you working on currently?

I have been part of the Innovation Lab team for more than 2 years. We are building a product called Leap DNA which an Enterprise Cloud Management Platform. I am the senior developer on the platform and have been working with dot net core, PowerShell and various Azure Services.
The platform caters to the requirements of large Enterprises to manage their cloud resources which has given me a chance to get acquainted with different Cloud offerings.

What is the most favourite part of your job?

I love working on Products. Understanding customer requirements, coming up with features/ solutions that ease their pain points and then work on building them. So, basically all parts of my job are my favorites.

What was your most challenging project so far? What were the take-aways?

It was my first solo kind of a project. I was working with third-party APIs I had very little knowledge about. The API was not working as expected and our entire solution was dependent on that. It caused a lot of re-work and delays in the project. One of our senior Architects did come up with a work-around and we delivered the project but it was certainly very challenging to handle failure even after all the hard work I had put in.
In the end, I understood that we learn a lot more from failures than our successes. The things I learnt in those 8 months will always be with me.

How has your job/responsibilities changed over the years working at Rapid Circle?

I started as a web developer, working on asp .net, MVC, Javascript, Angular etc. RC being primarily a SharePoint company at that time, I also explored some Office 365 /Sharepoint stuff. It was when I met Sarang Kulkarni, one of my mentors at RC who guided me towards learning Cloud / Azure. I explored that area and built awesome things on Cloud. I am still a web dev or a Cloud native developer you could say :).
Responsibilities have definitely evolved over the years. RC has always given me great exposure with customers and cutting-edge tech. Now as the company grows I am evolving as a leader as well.

What are your best memories working here?

There is never a dull moment at RC ever. We are always learning from each other and growing with each other. Be it scintillating conversations on lunch table or brainstorming sessions or pondering over 100s of product ideas coming up in our discussions, everything has been super fun.

How would you summarise your journey with Rapid Circle?

RC has made me believe in myself. The learning began when I was interviewed here for the first time and hasn’t stopped yet. I have grown from a confused developer to a professional consultant here. I have made friends for life. I am grateful for the opportunity I got to work with such amazing people.
