Rapid Circle acquires cloud specialist Weolcan

Rapid Circle has acquired Weolcan in the next step of an ambitious growth strategy to become one of the leading Microsoft partners worldwide. The Amsterdam-based company specialises in supporting organisations’ migration to cloud technology using defined and measurable cloud strategies.

Weolcan approaches cloud transitions with a focus on “Cloud Strategy & Governance” and complements Rapid Circle’s core expertise. In the past, Rapid Circle and Weolcan have collaborated on a number of projects. The acquisition demonstrated mutual benefits for both companies, reinforcing our common values and ability to work well together. Together the combined organisations will work towards furthering our Cloud Center of Excellence.

“We look forward to growing together – Weolcan has strong technical and business support for companies switching to the cloud and offers valuable in-house knowledge. They understand issues such as strategy, governance, change management and adoption. We have worked well on a number of clients together, so this step is a logical one.”

Harold Punter, CEO Rapid Circle

For now, Weolcan will continue to operate under its own name, and its employees and management will be employed as separate entities. Both companies are taking their time for a practical integration of business activities. The acquisition complements the existing portfolio of Rapid Circle, and gives Weolcan practical access to their strategic advice.

“We share with Rapid Circle the focus on added value for our clients, and the guidance in digital transformation. Now that we are moving forward together, we can amplify this value. Our focus on Cloud Strategy and Cloud Governance and their practical, technological expertise, combined with international growth, will allow us to serve existing and new customers even better.”

– Michiel de van der Schueren, Weolcan co-founder and managing director
