Can you tell us about your current role and project?

I am currently playing two roles. One of a cloud consultant where I work on creating mobile apps across Android and iOS platforms and other one being a client engagement consultant where I get to contribute to the operational side of the organisation. I get an opportunity to work in both these fields where I can keep my technical skills updated along with helping customers and my team with their queries and management of tasks.

How did you come to know about Rapid Circle?

Discovering Rapid Circle felt like destiny. In 2013, fresh out of college and actively job-hunting, I was open to any interview opportunities. One day, I came across a post on Facebook from a friend who happened to share a mutual connection with an employee from Rapid Circle. In the comments section of my friend’s post, I noticed a mention of the Rapid Circle (formerly known as Zevenseas). I got curious and visited their website and learned about an event called the “Walkout” that was coming up. I applied and to my surprise, I received a call back to attend the event, and that’s when my journey with the Rapid Circle began.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome it?

For the longest time, I was the only mobile developer in Rapid Circle. Finding answers to my mobile app development queries was often a challenge. However, I was fortunate to have supportive colleagues who were always available to brainstorm and help me figure out solutions on many occasions.

How different of a person you are now as compared to when you joined?

I had always been an introvert through my childhood and it was the same when I started at Rapid Circle. Being new to the IT industry, I wasn’t always sure of myself and sometimes made me come across as reserved, or even aloof. Now, things have changed. I feel more confident, cracking jokes with my team and helping out newcomers like I once was. It’s nice to think I can be a part of their journey. I feel happy when my team comes to me for a quick chat and find me approachable.

Can you recall some of your best memories working here?

I have spent most of my crucial years in Rapid Circle. This place and the people here have contributed in each and every special memory of mine. Right from my first salary to buying my own dream house. Rapid Circle was always a part of the biggest milestones of my life. I have made so many great friends along the way who are surely for life.

What do you aim to achieve now (technology-wise, other skills etc)?

I want to keep my technical side alive along with learning more management skills. My plans include learning more cross platform mobile development and Power Platform. Additionally, I also want to learn MS Excel (never knew you could do so many things with Excel) and enhance my people management skills.
